Before installation, connect your camera to the Parallens app and ensure your chosen location is within Wi-Fi coverage.
Step 1: Attach the Perch or Bird Bath Extension
Choose the standard perch or bird bath extension. Slide it into the feeder's mounting slot, align it properly, and secure it using the fastener underneath.
Step 2: Choose Your Mounting Method
The feeder supports three mounting options:
- Tree Mount: Thread the included mounting strap through the bracket, wrap it around the tree trunk, and tighten it securely.
- Pole Mount: Position the mounting bracket against a suitable pole and secure it using the included hose clamps.
- Wall Mount: Attach the mounting bracket to a suitable wall using the provided screws and wall anchors.
Step 3: Secure the Feeder
Once the mounting bracket is firmly in place, slide the feeder onto the bracket until securely attached. Place the camera into its designated holder on the feeder.
Step 4: Add Birdseed and Check the Camera
Open the feeder roof and fill the seed compartment with birdseed suitable for local birds. Close the roof, then open Live View in the Parallens app to check the camera angle and Wi-Fi signal.
Helpful Tips
- Choose a quiet, safe location where birds can approach comfortably.
- Ensure the feeder's built-in solar panel receives sufficient sunlight.
- Allow a few days for birds to discover and become familiar with their new feeder.
