If your camera is having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Check Your Wi-Fi Password
Double-check that you've entered the correct Wi-Fi password, including uppercase and lowercase letters, special characters, and any extra spaces.
2. Check Your Wi-Fi Coverage
Place the camera within 6 feet (about 2 meters) of your router during setup. Restart your router and try connecting the camera again.
*Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the Parallens app has the necessary permissions.
3. Try different Wi-Fi Band
The camera supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi networks. If your router broadcasts separate networks (such as "Home-2.4G" and "Home-5G"), try connecting to the other available network.
4. Check Your Router's Security Settings
The camera supports WPA2 and WPA2/WPA3 mixed security modes but not the WPA3-only mode. If your router is set to WPA3-only mode, please follow these steps(reference only):
a. Open your router's settings page or management app.
b. Find the Wi-Fi Security Settings.
c. Change the security mode to WPA2 or WPA2/WPA3 mixed mode.
d. Save the changes and try connecting your camera again.
5. Check the compatible issue via using a Mobile Hotspot
If the camera still fails to connect, you can use a mobile hotspot to check whether the issue is related to your router. You may need two phones for testing if available.
a. Phone A: Enable the mobile hotspot. For iPhone users, turn on "Maximize Compatibility" in the hotspot settings.
b. Phone B: Connect to Phone A's hotspot, then open the Parallens app and follow the camera setup steps to connect it to the hotspot.
c. If the camera connects successfully through the hotspot, the issue may be related to your router's settings or compatibility. You can try creating a Guest Network on your router and connecting the camera to it. Detail steps may vary from routers.
